Westport Credit Union Unveils Massive €100,000 Community Fund for 2025

Following the phenomenal success of last year's initiative, Westport Credit Union is thrilled to launch another €100,000 Community Fund for 2025. This fund is set to empower clubs, organisations, and societies across Westport, Newport, Louisburgh, and surrounding areas to bring their impactful projects to life.

Building on Last Year’s Triumph

In 2024, Westport Credit Union funded 19 diverse and transformative projects from 79 applications. Each project was selected based on its potential community impact, alignment with the Credit Union ethos, and readiness for completion. The funded projects, ranging from sports and health to music, youth, and education, made a significant positive impact on the community.

CEO of Westport Credit Union, Pauline Ryan expressed her excitement, saying, "We received an overwhelming number of applications last year, showcasing the incredible commitment and enthusiasm of local volunteers. These projects, whether big or small, have a profound impact on our community. By supporting these initiatives, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering a thriving, inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed."

Applications are now open for community-driven projects in social, cultural, sporting, and other sectors that aim to enhance the well-being of people in the area.

NOTE: Applications on behalf of individuals will not be considered.

Closing Date: The closing date for applications is April 30, 2025
