Westport Credit Union is delighted to open applications for our Community Fund 2026. Now in its third year, the fund supports projects and causes across our common bond of Westport, Newport, Louisburgh and the surrounding areas.
Clubs, groups and organisations are invited to apply for funding to help make a positive impact in their community.
The total Community Fund available for 2026 is €100,000.

Impact of the Community Fund over the Past Two Years
In 2024 and 2025, the Westport Credit Union Community Fund supported 56 projects across a wide range of local clubs, groups and organisations within our common bond. Funding helped deliver projects that made a real difference in communities, supporting inclusion, development and community wellbeing across the area.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to clubs, community groups and organisations operating within Westport Credit Union’s common bond of Westport, Newport, Louisburgh and the surrounding areas.

The Friday Afternoon Club in Mulranny is a simple but powerful space where people come together each week for company, conversation and friendship. Supported through our Community Fund, this project helps tackle isolation and build meaningful connections.
